40th Anniversary Screening
Considered a cult classic, The Wicker Man story centres on the visit of Police Sergeant Neil Howie to the isolated island of Summerisle, in search of a missing girl the locals claim never existed. Featuring a soundtrack by Paul Giovanni, incorporating folk songs performed by characters in the film, and presented in the reclaimed new setting of Furnace Park.
We’re delighted to present the ‘final cut’ of the film on the first night of its theatrical release.
With introduction by guests from the University of Sheffield.
Please wrap up warm and wear sensible footwear for our outdoor screenings.
With thanks to StudioCanal.
* Whilst in the area you might want to check out the ‘Decay – Chard & Kent’ Exhibition at nearby CADS, displaying a unique combination of two art forms – sculpture & photography.
